One Woman Band - Sukhnidh's debut single, co-produced by Dropped Out
A labour of love - this is quite a heavy phrase to put against anything, really. It holds a lot of meaning and more than anything, puts even more emphasis on all that preceded something. One Woman Band shows us the value of that labour and makes us feel each step of the story she narrates with her song.
Through her music, Sukhnidh shows us a vulnerable, almost confessional side of a 20-something navigating life as we know it, sometimes alone, sometimes in the company of love, and often alone again. It's a thrilling time, and to have a song that encapsulates the feeling is unparalleled.
"I use indie music to make confessions to you - about being 20-something and nervous about it, about trying not to hate myself, and about the feelings that we don’t like to speak about. I think I do this because I just want to be understood by somebody."
One Woman Band was co-produced by Rishi Thakker, aka Dropped Out. Known for his groovy basslines and lush chords - this is a collaboration made by the gods. You have to believe me when I tell you, you really can hear the artist's style come through in their music. This one, undoubtedly, packs the artistic essence of Rishi's music.
Needless to say, this is not the last we will hear from Sukhnidh. The artist plans to follow One Woman Band with more singles dropping throughout 2023. Stay tuned for more!
